Integrative Project
This course is designed around a project where students will apply knowledge and skills from their degree program by investigating and responding to an authentic, engaging, and complex question, problem, or challenge within their field. Guided by a central question, students will pitch a project idea and plan major deliverables and milestones, with support from their instructor. Throughout the course, students will gather relevant information, research, or data, reflect on project progress and process, and manage their own project from start to finish. The final assignment will be a meaningful artifact, such as a report, presentation, prototype, or artistic work, that addresses a guiding question. Students will demonstrate their creativity, use of knowledge, critical thinking, decision-making, communication skills, and will be empowered to lead and manage their own projects. Prerequisite: Acceptance as a degree candidate, completion of all common learning experience and major core course requirements, with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
