Website Design and Development

This course introduces students to the principles and practice of professional website design and development. Students learn to plan, design, and build multi-page websites using HTML5 and CSS3, with an emphasis on creating sites that serve real users and real organizations. The course grounds technical skill in a user-centered design process: students identify target audiences, develop personas, and create wireframes and prototypes before writing a single line of code. Through a project-based approach, students apply core web development techniques — including responsive design, CSS layout systems, navigation, and form development — to build a portfolio-quality website from the ground up. By the end of the course, students will have practical experience with the tools, methods, and professional standards used in modern web design practice.
