Share Your Passion – Facilitate a Course for OLLI at DU!
Do you have a topic you’re passionate about that others would love to explore with you? OLLI at DU offers over 400 courses and webinars each year, and we’re looking for inspiring facilitators to bring fresh ideas and energy to our vibrant lifelong learning community.
Whether in-person, on Zoom, or in a hybrid format, our courses span a wide range of subjects—from multimedia presentations and art to history, movies, and travel. We pride ourselves on fostering informal discussions and social interaction, making every course an engaging, collaborative experience.
Facilitating a course with OLLI at DU isn’t just about teaching—it’s about learning together. Our members return year after year because they thrive in an environment where curiosity is welcomed, and lively discussions often lead to new ideas. When you teach a subject you’re passionate about, you’ll not only deepen your own understanding but also gain new insights from participants who bring a wealth of experience and diverse perspectives.
OLLI at DU offers flexible course formats—4, 5, 6, 7, or 8-week courses in three terms: fall, winter, and spring. Classes are held on Monday afternoons or Tuesday through Thursday mornings and afternoons, and each session typically lasts 2 hours. We also offer popular one-time topical sessions, which are a fantastic way to try facilitating for the first time or test out an idea for a longer course.
Interested in facilitating a course, but not sure where to start? We are here to help you every step of the way. Contact David Schoenhals, Co-Executive Director, Curriculum and Operations, at David.Schoenhals@du.edu to discuss your course idea.
