Chess Club - every Tuesday afternoon, a group of players meets at the Bean Fosters Coffee House in Golden (http://beanfosters.com/golden.html) from 12:45 to 4:45 for open play with each other. You can play in the early session 12:45 – 2:45 or the 2nd session 2:45 – 4:45 or both.
Play interest is solicited each week and players assigned according to their interest and ability as best we can.
The venue is free but the coffee house does depend on some folks buying coffee and/or food.
OLLI chess class teachers Bob Magnani and Mel Mandel play as well as several former OLLI class participants. We encourage players of all levels to join. You must know how to play (at any level) - this club is not for those who want to learn chess from scratch. But, if you DO want to learn, contact us and we may, if there is enough interest, again offer a beginner's Chess class at OLLI.
