MY LAST PASSAGE: PLANNING FOR THE END OF LIFE
Do you spend more time planning for a vacation than for your final trip? While death is not a happy thought, planning can prevent messy, uncomfortable, and often emotional situations for your loved ones. This class is intended for those who prefer to plan for our inevitable departure from the land of the living. This is
not
a class about dying, although we may mention that in passing. It’s about “packing your suitcase” for a trip we will all take someday. This course will cover topics like preparing an up-to-date health-care power of attorney, writing a will, determining how you want your remains handled, how you want your service to be run and your estate settled. Who better than
you
can write your obituary? Let’s do it! Among our class visitors will be a Denver lawyer who specializes in elder law and advance planning. We will also hear from a representative from a local funeral home who will talk about arrangements and prices. Do your family a favor – leave a plan in writing for them.
