GREAT TV SITCOMS THAT CHANGED AMERICA

Great TV Sitcoms That Changed America will take an in-depth look at one classic sitcom for each of the 8 weeks and include at least one full episode, additional clips, and extra background information and analysis on how the program impacted American culture. Classroom discussion is encouraged. The sitcoms covered are I Love Lucy, The Honeymooners, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, All in the Family, M*A*S*H, Cheers, The Golden Girls and Seinfeld. The course should be a lot of fun as well as an informative look at how TV sitcoms have played a part in shaping our society.
